Many maintenance engineers and procurement specialists request price quotes for Asco Valves from us at Sigma Parts. Often, they will only supply the part number to me and I need just a little more information. Asco Solenoid Valves contain a solenoid coil which rests inside the green box attached to the valve body. This functions to charge the valve and perform the action which you desire.
For the vast majority of Asco Solenoid Valves, the voltage will not affect the price. This fact is always worth checking on a per-case basis. However, I do not stock all voltages equally here at Sigma Parts.
In the United States, 120 VAC is standard voltage for Asco Valves. 24 VDC is also quite common and stocked here. We can supply any voltage required, so long as we have the proper lead time (usually 3 weeks to arrive from their plant in Mexico). We ship Ascos all over the world, so if you are European, Asian, African, Latin American, or if you are testing voltages, we can supply your need.
The full list of voltages from Asco:
“Standard Voltages: 24, 120, 240, 480 volts AC, 60 Hz (or 110, 220 volts AC, 50 Hz). 6, 12, 24, 120, 240 volts DC. Must be specified when ordering. Other voltages available when required.”
Finally, it is important to consider why you would employ one voltage over another. With alternating current,(AC) there exists a difference between instantaneous voltage and average voltage. Instantaneous voltages can be added for direct (DC) and AC, but average voltages can be meaningfully added only when they apply to signals that all have the same frequency and phase.
If you are unsure of the correct voltage for your application, speak with your facility’s engineer. We will be happy to quote all the options.
