If you have ever tried to design and procure a control part, chances are that you have come across many Model Selection Guides. No, not those types of models. Many manufacturers give you the ability to configure your device to all of the setting, options, voltages, sizes, and everything available. Many times you can use the model selection guide as an order matrix. Going through the model number digit by digit can not only give you access to a better understanding of the product line, it can also help you save time, effort, or money in those crucial MRO emergencies.

Honeywell HercuLine Actuators
The HercuLine isHoneywell’s replacement for the Actionator line of motors. All of the options from the old series are here, with a sleek design and new features. Basically you have the power to customize these to your application. This guide is from 2006 and still active.
Johnson Controls Ball Valves

Honeywell DR4500 Circular Chart Recorder

Takes you through a large portion of the Festo product line, from valves and terminals, sensors, electrical connections, process automation, motors, controllers, and drives. If you are designing applications in the food & packaging, water treatment, or biotech/pharmaceutical, you will probably want to keep this nearby.
